Version 0.3 is Out!
i have finally finished version 0.3, i call it "the armor expansion" since i added every armor digimon, but there is a lot more to it!, this update is mostly visual saddly, not a lot of new content other than the armor digimon areas and some 5 other ones, with that said, i did add a lo of new digimons so...
Update Information:
Story mode:
I have finally introduced the start of the story mode, right now i focused and making it functional so some visual aspect might be modified, the introduction include only 2 fights right now (i originally wanted 3 fights but didn't find a place to fit the extra one), one random fight and one boss fight, jumping in difficulty a little too much to be honest so i might lower the boss level in the future
Difficulty system: Right now it only works with the story mode, a simple difficulty system that lets you raise the level of the enemy, from level 1 (base level) to level 9 (nine times the level), including a HELL difficulty with an experimental test at making proportional scalling, the digimon will keep leveling up until their total stats are equal or higher than your strongest digimon, i tested it and it is possible to beat the boss, but i did need some specific digimons for it
completing the boss fight at level 10 should reward you with a chrono core, i tried to test it but it only gives it to you if you don't have it yet and i did get one on that save before so lets hope it works fine
New Digimons:
All of the armor digimon: i added every single armor digimon to the game in one single wave, you can find them all in special zones around the digital world, i know they mostly work as champion now with the tcg and stuff, but i always liked them as a middle point between champion and perfect, so most of them have that power level, except magnamon and gold rapidmon of course...
Apollomon,Dianamon and Marsmon line: everything from sunmon and moonmon until their jogress into grace novamon, Grappu leomon line was already in the game so i took the chance to add Marsmon
Four Holy Beasts and Devas: All the devas were added to the game, and with them their respective Holy Beast, not only that but you will be able to from change huanglongmon into Ruin Mode
Mastemon and Lilithmon: the second demon lord to join the game lilithmon, and of course i couldn't miss the chance to add mastemon to the game
Magnamon X...again?: Magnamon X-Antibody now has a form change into Magnamon X-Antibody!... the gold digizoid version, the tcg didn't give it a new game and is the same digimon, so i decided to add the form but keep the name as Magnamon X-Antibody, its new form is the digimon with the highest defense in the whole game!, so if you think that your team could use a defensive tank, you could try getting him
New Areas:
every armor digimon, deva and sacred beast can be found on new areas on the map, and there is also new places for apollomon and dianamon with some other digimons to find
New Items:
every armor digimon digimental is now in the shop and can also be dropped by a digimon that evolves using it, while digispirits can be used any number of times digimentals are one use items so do keep them in mind when using them
Updated digimon and areas:
Herakles kabuterimon, Seraphimon and Arcturusmon: herkle and seraphi where missing their moves, that was fixed, and Arcturusmon accidentally had the same moveset as sirious mon, this has been updated and fixed
Negamon: made him stronger, and raised its default max level to 99, the math still doesn't work to let him evolve before reaching the level limit, but i plan a way to fix that in future versions (but it will take some updates before i'm able to do that)
The New Universe: this area while visible from the start, was initially tought as the final fight and destination, so its requirement of unlocking have been updated with the new areas, and the one digimon that spawns there has also been buffed
Visual Updates:
Elements and Attributes: added icons representing every element and attribute, now you don't have to read so much text, a single icon will show you for both of these things
Attacks: with the new icons showing the elements now attacks can also use them, not only that but now they contain all the relevant information in a more much better style visually, including what kind of special effects each move has IF they have it, i did steal the physical/special/status icons from pokemon so i might update those again
Evolution Screen: evolving is 100 times more intuitive and organized, the requirements now show between both digimon, not only that but you will be able to clearly see wich requirements is fulfilled or not since they will show up in either red or green!, digimon with multiple ways to evolve into the same digimon (for example, omegamon evolving into imperialdramon pm with either imperialdramon fm OR dm) have a button below the current condition so you can swap between them and select the one you want
Jogres Screen: jogress was modified to occupe less space, and be more intuitive and how it works, i'm not convinced about the design but is something
Main Hub Elemental Balance: how the different elements affect each other was added to the main hub, right now is the only place that shows it and i do plan to move it around so it looks better, right now i feel like it occupates too much of the screen
Digimon Team: how the digimon in your teams is shown was changed, i still don't fully like it but i find the bigger images nice
Digilab: the digimon in the digilab now have a blue square, this is because it looks better but also because i'm thinking about removing the white background from the reference pictures in the future
those are all the updates i can remember right now, hope you all like it, i also added a progress section in the main page so you all can see what kind of thing to expect for the next update, i will start to update it from time to time when i feel like i have advanced enough to add to it but not enough to send the next update
